The practice pages behind these articles
Articles explain. These pages set out what the firm actually handles.
- Informal ProbateInformal probate is the route many Arizona estates take when there is a valid will or a clear line of heirs, and nobody is fighting about it. You still have real legal duties — this page explains what they are and where people commonly get stuck.
- Formal ProbateFormal probate is not a punishment or a sign something has gone wrong. It is the route used when a judge needs to decide something — who serves, whether a document is valid, or who the heirs actually are.
- Probate LitigationDisputes over an estate are rarely only about money. They are usually about information — who has it, who is withholding it, and what happened while nobody was watching.
- Trust AdministrationMost trustees are family members who did not ask for the job. The role carries real duties, and the mistakes that cause trouble later are usually made in the first few months.
- GuardianshipGuardianship is about personal and healthcare decisions, not money. If the concern is bills, accounts, or property, conservatorship is the companion process.
- ConservatorshipConservatorship is the financial counterpart to guardianship. It is also the route used when a minor receives money — from a settlement or an inheritance — that has to be managed under court supervision.
- Estate PlanningThis is the one service on this site that Copper Wren Law does not perform itself. If you engage for estate planning, your lawyer would be at Citadel Law Firm — a separate firm. That is worth knowing before you send any information.
Still unsure which process applies?
You do not need to identify the right legal category before calling. Explain what happened, mention any known court date or deadline, and the team can work out the appropriate next conversation.
