A service area, not a list of offices

Plenty of firms publish a page per city implying a presence in each one. Copper Wren Law has a single office, in Mesa, and the pages below say so at the top rather than in the small print. What differs between them is not the address — it is the county, and county is the fact that actually determines which Superior Court an estate belongs in.

The first consultation is free and normally happens by phone, so for most people the drive never comes into it.

The one thing worth knowing

Two of these cities sit across a county line

Apache Junction and Queen Creek each straddle the Maricopa–Pinal county line. Because county determines which Superior Court hears a probate, two neighbors on opposite sides of that line can have their estates handled by different courts — and a postal address gives no hint of which side you are on.

It is worth establishing before anything is filed. If you are not sure, say so on the first call.

Wherever in the East Valley you are

Explain what happened and mention any court date or deadline you know about. Working out which county — and which process — applies is part of the first conversation, not something you need to arrive with.
