Elizabeth joined Copper Wren Law in April 2024, bringing her unique experience in child welfare investigations and civil litigation. She graduated from the Sandra Day O’ Connor College of Law in 2018 and worked as a litigator for juvenile matters at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office for several years.

Upon becoming a mother, Elizabeth shifted her focus to protecting another vulnerable group, the elderly. She applies her expertise to help families navigate the court system, providing guidance for those representing their elderly relatives. Elizabeth is committed to upholding the dignity and rights of her clients.

Carly is an Arizona native that has lived and worked in her community for over a decade in hospitality management and legal services. During her time working in hospitality management, Carly discovered her passion for helping people. She went back to school to obtain her degree in paralegal studies and graduated in 2019.

After gaining experience in the Attorney General’s Office, Protective Services Section, her interest and love for helping people was further intensified. She began to explore different areas of the law including the new and growing area of litigation funding. After learning all that she could, she then moved on to gain experience as a litigation paralegal in probate.

Today, Carly is ready to enhance and improve the client experience in her roles as the firm administrator and paralegal to attorney, Dan Benjamin. Carly’s goal in starting this ABS is to support Dan in his capacity as the managing attorney and provide clients with clear communication and support with the administrative portions of their matters.

Dan has a plethora of life experience; before he became a lawyer he worked in retail, auto repair and information technology. Dan has been a stock boy, manager, a trainer, a mechanic, and before law school Dan was a support specialist wearing many hats, for over a decade. During his time as a support specialist, Dan decided to finish his undergrad degree and explore other career options. Then, because of one random conversation, Dan realized that his childhood dream of becoming a lawyer to help people was still attainable. He graduated from Portland State University and went to law school at the University of Arizona.

Valuing variety Dan gained experience as a senior deputy county attorney (prosecutor). After learning what he could from that position, Dan switched to the Public Defender’s office. Wanting to explore other areas of law, he then learned more from a new position as a probate and estate planning attorney.
Today, Dan is comfortable in and enjoys all his areas of practice. Dan’s main goal is helping people. As an attorney Dan values straightforward communication and a direct approach to talking with his clients and educating them on their options. Dan’s goal is to always help his clients make decisions consistent with their values.
